MINUTES OF INITIAL MEETING
The first meeting of the commission was called to order
by mutual consent on the date and at the time.called by the Mayor,
in the Laurel City Council Chambers, on November 22, 1994 beginning
at 7:38 o'clock p.m. All three elected commissioners were present:
Joseph M. Bradley, Steven K. Cosner, and John "Bud" Johnson. Also
present was the ex-officio, non voting member appointed by the
Laurel City Council: Ron Marshall.
Discussion was had among the members regarding: regular
meeting dates; attendance at the Local Government Review seminar in
Bozeman on December 15th and 16th; and, budgetary matters.
Discussion was had regarding Mayor Rodgers' informing
members of the Commission that the City of Laurel has earmarked
approximately $800 for the Commission's use in fiscal year 1994-
1995.
The Commission approved the following matters by mutual
consent:
1. All three elected members will register for the
seminar in Bozeman, at a total estimated cost of approximately
$342.50.
2. The Commission's next meeting will be December 27,
1994 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
3. The three members of the 1972 Laurel Study
Commission: Ken Hageman, Marvin Carter, and Tom Ludwig; should be
invited to attend the next meeting for informational purposes.
4. The Commission will not address election of a
chairman for its meetings until after the seminar in Bozeman.
The meeting was adjourned by mutual consent at 8:04
o'clock p.m. T
