LOCAL GOVERNMENT REVIEW STUDY COMMISSION
JANUARY 24, 1995 7:30 P.M.
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MEMBERS PRESENT: Bud Johnson
Steve Cosner
Ron Marshall
The minutes of the December meeting were approved as corrected.
Ron Marshall reported that $1200.00 is being placed in a local
review account for fiscal year 1995.
The anticipated expenses will be for office supplies and legal
publications. Cheryll Lund will type the minutes and send out
along with the agenda one week prior to the regular monthly
meeting.
We have spent $358.66 for the seminar in Bozeman. A $30.00 refund
for that is still pending.
No working papers are available from the interviews that Richard
Larsen conducted. Contact must be made directly to Mr. Larsen for
that information. Bud Johnson will contact Mr. Larsen.
Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Steve Cosner, that a time
table, pursuant to MCA 7-3-186 be established and published, as
follows:
1) Regular meetings of the study commission will be held on
the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in
the Laurel City council Chambers.
2) Tentative report developed by the commission will be
submitted on November 28, 1995;
3) Final report will be adopted by the Commission on March
26, 1996.
4) Special meetings will be held as per the agenda.
5) Public hearings will be advertised when felt necessary by
the Commission in the Laurel Outlook.
Motion carried.
Discussion regarding a starting point of the report given to the
City by Richard Larsen.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
