LOCAL GOVERNMENT REVIEW STUDY COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 28, 1995 7:30 P.M.
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Steve Cosner
Joe Bradley
Bud Johnson
Ron Marshall
Minutes of the January 24, 1995, meeting were read. Motion
by Joe Bradley, seconded by Steve Cosner, that they be approved.
Motion carried.
Correspondence A- letter was received from the Billings
Local Government Review Commission asking that representatives
from Laurel to attend their meetings.
Reviewed a statement of finances from the City. Commission
has $864.94 including a refund from the City Center Motel in
Bozeman.
Steve and Bud reported that they attended a meeting of
the Rotary Club. They passed out questionnaires to the member-
ship. Steve read the results of the two that were returned.
Discussion was held concerning self-governing powers.
Ron will get a copy of Billings' charter and bring to next
meeting. A video has been ordered from MSU in Bozeman and will
be viewed when received.
The commission discussed drafting a questionnaire to be
given to City Treasurer, Mayor, City Council, City Judge, City
Attorney, City Clerk, Public Works director, Ambulance Director,
Police Chief, and Fire Chief.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
