MEMBERS PRESENT: Steve Cosner, chairman Joe Bradley Ron Marshall Bud Johnson OTHERS PRESENT: Sue Blaskovich Sharon Herman Larry Herman Minutes of the June 13, 1995, meeting were read and approved. Correspondence Received minutes from the June 8, 1995, meeting of the Yellowstone County Governmental Review Commission. Received Minutes from the June 8, 1995, and the June 15, 1995, meeting of the Billings Local Governmental Review Commission. These minutes are attached to the original copy of the minutes. Steve Cosner reported that he received a receipt for the movies obtained from the Local Governmental Review Center in Bozeman. He reported that he talked to Don Hackmann, City Clerk, concerning the budget for the commission for the upcoming year. Larry Herman, city judge, gave an overview of the Laurel City Court and it's areas of responsibilities. He stated that yearly the court takes in approximately 70 thousand in revenue with an operating budget between 40-50 thousand dollars. The net proceeds are then returned to the General Fund. He stated that if Laurel had 12 officers on patrol that this revenue should be at 100 thousand. He stated that as far as any changes to be recommended by our commission all aspects of the court system are mandated by state statute. Sue Blaskovich, ambulance director, presented to the, commission a run-down on her operation. She stated that she has an annual budget between 55-60 thousand dollars. Revenues received are in the same area. She stated that the ambulance operates slightly in the red.. Presently, she has 10 attendants, but could use 1215. Asked what the City of Laurel, to help the ambulance service, she stated that more revenue would be helpful as an inducement for more volunteers. The next meeting of the commission will be scheduled for July 13, 1995. Joe Bradley indicated that he would invite both Don Hackmann and Vicki Metzger, to discuss the position of City Treasurer. He also stated that he would send a letter to all City employees asking them for their input. Respectfully submitted, Steve Cosner, chairman
