COUNCIL CHAMBERS
FEBRUARY, 12, 1996

Minutes of the February 5, meeting were read and discussed.
Ron Marshall indicated that he left out approval of Section
5.01 when he typed the minutes. Motion by Ken Olson, seconded
by Steve Cosner to approve the minutes as corrected.
Correspondence. Received the minutes of the January 21,
1996, meeting and the agenda for the February 1, 1996, meeting
of the Billings Local Governmental Review Commission.
Bud Johnson reported that he hasn't been able to get any
word back from the Local Government in Bozeman on information
requested and that he hasn't finished with the updated draft
requested by the commission.
Steve Cosner reported that the Billings Commission is
considering raising their mayor's term of office from two to
four years and also giving him the right to vote on all issues.
He also reported that Mike Kennedy of the Yellowstone County
Commission is in favor of the elimination of the County Health
Board, because all the they do "is take the money and run" and
have no accountability to the County Commissioners.
Agenda for the February 26, 1996, meeting will be to review
the updated draft being prepared by Bud Johnson.
