A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Following a discussion it was decided that we would hold all future
meetings at City Hall on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
A discussion of the proposed building code to be produced the following
decisions:
1) Buildings will be all metal, commercial type that would be.
in harmony with the ones that are there now.
2) They will have metal biefold type doors.
3) All hangars are to have doors. None will be left open in
the future.
4) Drainage shall be open with metal covers which are removable
and maintain proper grade between pads into hangars.
5) Ramp and pad shall be of concrete.
6) There shall be uniform construction in each row.
7) They must meet the Uniform Building Code.
8) Post a bond for damage of airport property.
A discussion was held concerning ultra lite aircraft, and it was
decided to call the FAA to get their recommendations.
Election of officers:
Dave Powers - Vice President
Claude Cory - Secretary
Ramp leases were sent to all ramp dwellers, at a fee of $10.00 monthly.
$20.00 pays first and last month - $10.00 to maintain the lease.
Fixed Base Operations: Following a discussion it was decided to take
our lease with Upperwest Aviation to the City Attorney, Joe Bradley,
to see if it would be possible to amend or break the lease because
it is felt that they are not providing the services that are needed.
The particular areas of contention are: gas is not available, the
facilities are closed on weekends when most activity occurs, and
generally short open hours.
Some discussion was held as to what to do about the rest room problem.
Jim Klein presented a bid for the outhouse which amounted to $450.00,
owner would dig hole. Guy Stormont is going to look into other
alternatives and report back.
