January It, 1984
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jonn H. Smi.tn at 1:00PM.
Memuers present were Dave Powers, Herb Olson, Guy Stormont and
Claude Cory Secretary.
Visitors attending the meeting were Bogy Redding, Mary McKamy,
Steve Romines and Larry Wyman iron HM.
Communication were read by Smith, no comments.
Stormont reported on the water well, He stated that ne will form
a agreement with Upper West Aviation whereby they will be charged
for the amount of water they use. Notning has been finalized as
yet on the water uses.
Herb read a letter from Workmans Compensation. He should be covered
by Workmans Compensation in case of accident he would be covered
for all medical expenses.
It. was suggested that we send a letter to Larry keterson and the
County -of Yellowstone tnat because we donot have any Curtner use
for the GMC 6x6 truck we return the truck to Yellowstone County.
Larry Wyman reported on the work that nas been completed by Long
Construction and Ace Electric on t.ne Airport. He asked that the
retainage neld from the contrator be reduced from ten percent to
five percent. He stated that the FAA was in complete.agreement
with this procedure but that it was up to the Authority. He said
that Long Contract overran $5,000 but that Ace Electric was.under
$6,000. We are well within the Grant Amount and the work was sub-
stanially complete. The problem with the light has been traced to
the regulator. Krause and Company is sending a new printed circuit
to replace the old one. Long retainage wild be about $/,169
David Powers made a motion we pay the amount due Long Construction
and with hold ".6hly`.5%. Seconded by Herb 61son. Motion passed.
Next Larry read a letter from HKM concerning a audit were are re-
quired to have completed by a firm of CPA's concerning the grant.
FAA requires we contact three CPA firm for a price to do- the
audit. We will contact three CPA firms before the next meeting
and report to the authority in February.
Chairman Smith reported on a letter of December 29, 1983 to Dan
Worth. Dan Worth has not answered as yet.
Herb Olson reported an the snowplow. Bob Redding thank Herb for
a job well done.
Chairman Also reported that Wayne Peterson flew the runway and
it was approved.
Bob Redding reminded the authority that service at the airport is
published. At this time no fuel is available and that it makes
it difficult when someone land to refuel and finds it is not avail
able.
Committee suggested thht a letter be sent to Keith Fitchett and ask
as to his attentions about concerning this fixed base operation. It
is to state that he not abiding by his lease.
