Regular meeting of the laurel Airport Authority was called to order by
Vice Chairman Dave Powers. Attending the meeting was Powers, McKamy and
Cory. Absent was Smith and Brennan.
Visitors ate the meeting were Mel Teinsvold, Dan Moore, Bill Wilson.
Ray Zahn and Dr. Don Woener.
First order of business was the reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting. No corrections minutes stand approved as read.
Discussion about moving the fence in order to stop people from caning
onto the airport and driving around that really have no business on the
airport property. No action taken.
Property leases were discussed and it was revealled that John Pearce,
Rich McKamly,and Steve Ravines are delinquent with their lease payments
from 1986. It was suggested that a statement be sent to all concerned
and notified that action would betaken against than if lease were not
brought current.
Next discussion about a sentence in the lease on paragraph II on page
1 be changed to read; that upon expiration of a lease, authority may
purchase all or any portion of the improvements erected by lesee on the
site. The purchase price for said improvements shall be limited to lessee's
actual costs of construction less deduction for depreciation. In the
event that the parties cannot reach agreement on a purchase p rice within
thirty (30) days after expiration of the lease, then lesse shall remove,
at its own expense, all buildings and other improvements which it may have
constructed or placed on the premises within one hinnrire twenty (120) days
from and after expiration of the lease, and lessee's also shall return the
site of its original condition and contour as directed by Authorithy within
said period. Lessee's failure to remove all improvements from site within
the said 120-day period shall cause ownership of all such improvements to '
automatically transfer to Authority.
A work party was discussed and, airplane owners would like to have a meeting
June 13, 1987 to discuss a work party at airport.
Not further business to cane before the Authority, motion made by Claude
and seconded by Mary r1::KxW we adjourned. Motion passed
