Chairman Smith called the Special Meeting of the Laurel Airport Authority at
12:05 PM. Attending were Stormont, POwers, Harris and Cory. Meeting was called
to discuss the building site lease of 'rank Felke d/b/a Big Sky Repair.
Mr. Felke wants to erect a building 140 by 60 feet on the land at the south of
airport. The building and ramp will use about 13,200 square feet, the auto
parking will use 7,650 square feet and he will need about 4,256 square feet on
the west side of the building.
He will pay ten cents ($.10) per square foot-.for the building site, and the ramp
area on the south side of the building. The auto parking lot will be billed at
three cents ($.03) per square foot and the westside will also be billed at three
cents ($.03) per square foot. Average cost is approximagely six and two thirds
cents ($.06679) per square foot.
He will have a fueling station that will meet all FAA requirments for a fueling
station.
The Laurel Airport--Authority has agreed to credit Mr. Felke one hundred percent
(100%) credit to his lease for work for taxi way site preparation only. On the
building site he will have to cut two feet on North and fall about one foot of
dirt. Stormont suggested we pay for dirt and pit run gravel , three fourth size,
for the fill. Frank stands the grade work and graveling around the building.
It is estimated that the cost will be about $1,740.00 on the pit run gravel
and excavating, three fourth size gravel about $1,272.00 and asphalt will cost
about $4,025.00.
