October 27, 1987
Meeting called to order by Dr. Smith at 7:05 PM with all members present.
Visitors attending the meeting were Rich Sanford, Terry Fatzinger, Ed Cook, Mel
Teinsvold, Shorty Stoot and John Oaks. Jim Fels of mi engineering firm present.
First order of business was reading of minutes of previous meeting. No erros
or correction motion by Claude Cory and seconded by nave Powers minutes be
approved as read. Motion passed.
Jim Fels gave a report on the contractor and he stated that the dirt work
would be started about November 5, 1987. Jim Fels sent a letter to the
contractor that dirt work on the Fox property should be done very soon.
All surveying is all done. The wind sox will be south of runway 23 and
north of the 23 taxi way. HKM have modified their oontract and will be
additional $23,417.00.
Chairman received a letter from Susan Alexander reporting that she had
same video tapes from FAA about airport inspection, and safety issues.
These tapes are about 45 minutes long.
Mr. Stott attending the meting with Bill Hart and informed the board
that he had sold the mobile home he owned on the airport and that Bill
hart had already moved into the mobile home. Bill will take over the
duties that had been preformed by Mr. Stott. Dave Powers made a motion
that we draw a lease between airport authority and Bill Hart and state
in the lease what his duties would be. Notion seconded by Mary McKany
motion passed.
A discussion arose between Rich Sanford and Shorty Stott who awned the
septic tank. Discussion was getting nowhere and Dave made a motion we
investigate the possible purchasing the septic tank. Seoonded by Bill .
motion passed.
Mel Teinsvold reported on a plaque that will erected for Guy Stormont
because he was one of the original originated of the Laurel Airport.
Notion by Mary sea zided by Bill we adjourned, motion passed.
