Laurel authority meeting was called to order by Chairman John Smith
at 7:00 PM. Present were Mary McKamy, Bill Brennar,'Dave Powers and
Claude Cory.
Visitors attending the meeting were Terry Fatzinger, Rich Sanford
and arrell McGillen Laurel Fire Chief.
Minute were read and Bill Br?hnar made motion minute be approved as
read, seconded by Matt' Mommy. Motion passed.
Mike Vissar applied for a above tank for use in his business of crop
spraying. Approval for this tank to be erected provided it was 15 feet
from any buildings and 15 feet from lot line. Motion by Chairman Smith
we approve tanks, second by Mary, motion passed.
Bill were read, Runway lites $42.91, City Fire Department fees $180.00,
and $300.00 for budget expenses. Bill moved bills be paid, second by
Mary , motion passed.
Darrel McGollen Fire Chief gave short talk about fire hazards. It was
` noted that we are required hazard inspections at varous time. Mary Mckatty
l suggested that we write to each hanger owner and arrange for time to meet
with the Fire Chief for inspection of their buildings.
Dave Powers reported on the newf fire tax and it would about 11.3 mills
of value of improvements on taxzble value of property.
Frank Felke indicate he would like to have a above gasoline tank. No
action on lthis.
Rick Sanford lease was disucced. He lease is about a 20% increase and
read for three years and renogiated for another three years. Rick objects
to the three years. Most members of the borad donot feel that is practible
to grant a longer lease than three years. December 1987 meeting a lease
was approved for Rich with a three year lease and renogiable at that time.
Rich also brought the sewer hookup and he claims he has $4,000.00 invested
in sewer hookups. Pdo action on this discussion.
It was noted that a Mr. Gabert wil visit the Laurel Airport Mfrnday March
28, 1988 at 4:00 PM. All members are asked to meet with hi}: if possible.
Meeting adjourned at 8:40 PM.
