negotiating for land acquisition. John Smith will talk to him on Thursday,
March 1.
A motion was made by Dave Powers and seconded by Roy Zahm to look into
buying a 9N Ford tractor from Eril Torgerson in Ethridge, Montana. (phone
339-2222) Bill Brennan will negotiate a price of not more than $2100.
The tractor has a three point hitch, new tires, mower, rear blade, and
rebuilt engine. We would have the right to refuse the tractor upon delivery
if it is misrepresented.
It was reported that Frank Felke will check into a new snowplow blade

The EAA wants to erect a sign at the entrance of the airport. It
will be steel construction with a plaque in memory of Guy Stormont. $100.00
will come from money given by Dr. Calvert. $100.00 will come out of the
Laurel Flying Club funds and the rest should be covered by a money raising
function that was held earlier at the airport. The city now has this money.
The fence on the grass strip had to be repaired because it was reported
a brown and white 152 Cessna (N6605L) from Corporate Air in Billings hooked
the fence on the landing gear upon take off and ripped the fence out.
We will contact Corporate Air concerning this matter.
The beacon light is burned out.
Next year's fire protection will be $220.00 to cover Frank Felke's
hangar.
Eventually Mike Visser's ramp will have to be moved further to the
south. His ramp is too close to the taxiway. He also needs to put in a
retaining tank for any spillage.
Tom Kern asked that a letter be sent asking all jumpers to stay north
f the runway. We would also like to have all the jumpers attend an
April 24 meeting to discuss any problems. We ask that the jumpers use the
walk in gates instead of jumping over the fence, unroll the hoses when they
are done jumping, and water and mow the park whenever possible.
Our insurance will pay the damage done to Monte Blaine's spray plane.
It was a little over $3000.
Another ad will be, run in the Billings Gazette to try and rent the
trailer space at the airport.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
