LAUREL AIRPORT AUTHORM
November 25 , 1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were ; Bob Western , Dick Clayton , Roy Zahm , Bill Brennan
Guests present were ; none
Minutes of previous meetiggs were approved as read.
Bills presented were ;
Mont.Aero.Division loan interest S 440.43
Yell.Valley Elec.Coop. lights $ 75.27
Laurel Co-op battery-snow plow 56.40
Laurel Co-op gasoline-all vehicles $ 52.35
Moved by Western , seconded by Clayton to pay bills.Motion carried.
Chairman Smith reported that he had met with City Attorney Joe Bradley ,
and representatives from H.K.M. and the F.A.A. and feels that the avigation
easement over the Reiter property should be finalized very soon.
Chairman Smith also reported he had called the F.B.O. in Miles City and
discussed his new above ground fuel storage tanks.The F.B.O. stated that fuel
could not dispensed directly from the tanks via a pump to aircraft.
He the called the F.B.O. in Ennis ? who said that fuel could be dispensed
directly to a:i.rcraft.Consulting the state fire code we found that it can be
dispensed subject to certain provisions.Stay tuned.
The committee discussed the "grass fire" by Will Metz's hangar.He should have
had a burning permit and recieved permission from the Airport Authority.
The Committee discussed charging an annual fee ( $'20425 ) for self fueling or
5¢ a gallon.
We need to go through the Airport Regulation Manual to revise and update it.
After revision and approval we will issue copies to everyone using the Airport.
Chairman Smith will try to geb copies to board members.
There will be no meeting in December.
