BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE

Discussion regarding additional phone lines for City Hall and
changing the phone system to be more responsive to the public when
they call City Hall. Cathy and Larry will report back at the next
meeting with the estimated cost of another line and cost comparison
for long distance phone calls and terminating the outgoing watts
line.
Discussion regarding a computerized record keeping system for the
building and maintenance departments. It was suggested that buying
a computer system be delayed. During the MLCT Convention in
Helena, Dirk, Bud, and Chuck looked at a similar program presented
by a Bozeman firm. Bud would like this firm to give a presentation
to the city council"in the near future, before a decision is made.
Purchase requisitions were approved as follows.
GENERAL FUND
Set pole and run electricity to new outside
building at shop
Installation of electricity in new fire
and shop building
Installation of electrical outlets in big
shop for equipment
Oil burning stove for old big shop
