November 23 , 1993 Members present were ; Dick Clayton , Bob Western , Roy Zahm , Bill Brennan Guests present were ; John Adams , Bob Redding , Will Metz , Linda Soong , Frank Felke and four others Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills presented were ; Mont.Aeronautic Comm. loan interest ° 308.99 Yell.Valley Elec. Co-op power bill ? 88.93 D - 0 Aviation spraying (knapweed) 1,025.00 Laurel Hardware security lights 186.90 Moved by Zahm , secnded by Brennan to pay bills.Motion passed. John Adams , airport resident , was introduced to the members and guests-Suggestions were made to him concerning what we e:cpect.Will help with mowing and snow removal when possible.Pleed to lock gate at night.Discussed getting special combination padlock.General security. Stan Kolmer (?) from M.D.U. reported on installing a natural gas line onto Airport property for use by hangar owners.Could cost customers ?2.50 per foot for 3,000 feet of line but if usage is great enough M.D.U. will pay the cost for the main. Users must pay cost of service lines at $2.2. per foot (min.,90*OO)e Need easement from Airport Authority.Rebate may be available to users. '8.00 per month minimum gas charge. Discussed the Master Plan.F.A.A. does not want us to drop the non-precision approach designation.It was recommended that no hangar construction be permitted on the north taxiway at this time.A public hearing will precede adoption of the Master Plan. We will write a letter to the State Department of Lands opposing establishment of a rifle range at the old dump site pending further information. The Airport will be audited along with the City of Laurel.Motion by Western to approve,seconded by Clayton.Motion Passed. We will get a "sticker"from the City to put on it. Discussed snow removal.Roy will co--ordinate with Bob Redding. There will be a planning meeting for Aviation Week at the Middle School on Dec.1 at 8:30 A.M. Board members,F.B.O.s ,and all other concerned parties are urged to attend.
