HomeMy WebLinkAboutLaurel Airport Authority Minutes 09.27.1994LAUREL AIRPORT AUTHORITY September 27,1994 The Meeting was called to order at 7:00.P.M. by Chairman John Smith. ?Members present were ;Bob Western , Howard Clayton , Bill Brennan Guests present were ; Bob'Redding , Bob Roods , John Lowry , Frank Wagner , - Gorvan LeDuc , Richard Nelson Minutes of the August., 1994 meeting were approved as read. Bills presented were ; H.K.M. engineering fees 4,956.32 Yell.Va11.E'lec. August power bill 67.87 John Mohr legal services 583.00 Big Sky Aircraft exhaust pipe sweeper 8.75 Northern Skies Aircraft gasoline , sweeper 32.87 Laurel Co-op Assno battery , pickup 73.95 Laurel Co-op Assn. ti6--down rope $ 64.00 Laurel Co-op Ass'n. welding rod & paint 1 17.06 Moved by Western to pay bills,seconded by Brenaan.Motion carried. Discussed pending fire-inspection.We need more information on required fire exting- uishers.Inspection tenatively set for 10 A.M. October 8.Airport will pay for this inspection but any one not present at the appointed date will have to pay for a subsequent inspection. The E.A.A. will construct three bulletin boards for the Airport and the Authority will reimburse them for materials. We will move the vehicle gate to the southwest corner of Northern Skies hangar. We need to investigate liability insurance rates and coverages before requiring hangar owners to purchase it. Discussed location for self fueling area.Un decided. Hangar sites in new hangar area will be leased on a first come , first served basis. It would be best to wait until the taxiway is completed before starting construction. We may advertise lots in the " Headin Bug " (M.P.A. periodical). continued Richard Nelson would like to purchase the old crash truck.We have not used this truck for years but since it a Civil Defense acquisition we will have to check and see how to handle the sale. We will buy an ad in the " Heading Bug " welcoming Kent Potter D.B.A. Northern Skies Aviation , to our airport. Meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M. Bill. Brenn Secretary
