Please keep in mind during your considerations the need of water at the Airport; there is only well water there and that is not even adequate for the single occupied home on-site. We have several new hangers under construction with more planned. As you can expect, without an adequate water system, fire protection becomes of paramount concern. The Laurel Airport will continue to grow in importance. in the region as the main reliever airport for Billings' Logan International; this is a role that Columbus and Hardin would very much like to assume. We also formed an Airport Planning Committee to. determine what the community would like to see the Airport look like in the years ahead. Finally, we are in the process of rebuilding/relocating the main runway to increase its ability to handle today's aircraft, to mitigate growing safety concerns, and address new Federal Aviation Administration requirements. Please keep this future in mind when you are planning the water distribution system in the north area of Laurel. Thank you. Sincerely, 5C? 4 John Hawley mith Chair r City of Laurel is an EEO Employer
