February 28 , 1995
The meeting was called to order at .7:00 P.M. by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were ; Dick Clayton , Roy Zahm , Bill Brennan
Guests present were ;Bob Redding , Frank Wagner R.McKamy ,Craig Canfield ,etal
Minutes of the January , 1995 meeting were approved as read.

Moved by Brennan to pay bill s,seconded by Zahm.,,'.otion carried.
'lotion made by Brennan to keep the Airport Authority on the list to recieve surplus
State property. Seconded by Zahm , and carried.
Frank Wagner presented an approach and holding pattern for Ultralight aircraft
using the Laurel Airport.It was approved and will be made available to Ultralighters.
Craig Canfield HK's reported on progress on the Master plan update.
Laurel has the busiest Genral Aviation airport in 'Montana.Approximately 20,000
operations per year.Growth factor -- possibly 20 % over 20 years.
New constuction should include 5,200 ft. main runway and roughly doubling
the size of the parking apron.
There was considerable discussion concerning location of new runway-We will haze
to compare costs of land acquisition on the east end versus costs of fillwork on
the west end.Ultimately the F.A.A. will decade how they will spend thier money.
The 'Nontana Aeronautical Division has a free surplus 3/4 ton Dodge pickup for us
in Helena.Dick Clayton and Rich HcKamy volunteered to go get it.Approved.
Zahm made a motion to authorize Western to spend up to $100 to buy lunch for
boys cleaning up ramp area and picking up rocks.Seconded by Clayton , passed.
Bob Redding requested that we write another letter to John Adams about locking the
gate at nc,-.rht and would like a copy of the letter.
