OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Chairman- Donna Kilpatrick Gay Easton Gary Temple Bud Johnson Don Hackmann Chuck Rodgers Dirk Kroll Ken Olson Mike Zuhoski Larry McCann Don presented a resolution regarding signatures on checks and investment transactions, which would supersede No. 2579 passed in March of 1992. Motion by Gary Temple, seconded by Bud Johnson, to place this resolution on the January 6, 1998 City Council agenda. Motion carried. Discussion regarding an application for another COPS Grant Police Officer. It was suggested that a letter be sent to the Justice Department. The City will need to provide for matching funds and this will be reviewed during the 1998-99 budget process. Don reported on a letter written to Applied Business Systems regarding a change in the payroll program to accommodate for comp time accrual and usage. Discussion regarding a resolution for a $ 2.00 fee for each water connection to fund the Public Water Supply Program, which the state bills the City for each year. Don and others felt that due to the large water rate increase in October that possibly this resolution should not be passed. Discussion regarding engineering work that Morrison-Maierle has done which is outside the water project contract. It was suggested that a contract be entered into for this work. The overtime report for PPE 12-10-97 was reviewed. Discussion regarding a wage increase adjustment for police command officers. The personnel committee has reviewed this but no decision has been made. Purchase requisitions were approved as follows: General Fund Labor for placing concrete in new shop building $ 3,000.00 ~ater Fund Line locator Solid Waste Fund 150- 300 gallon garbage containers The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Don Kackmann, City Clerk 840.00 26,400.00
