A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
After lengthy discussion on many ideas concerning this subject, the
following recommendations were approved by the committee:
1. Allow for 3 or 4-handicapped parking areas (perhaps 2 in the City
lot, 1 at City Hall and 1 at the Safety Complex).
2. Involve the Planning Committee in zone regulations.
:3. Joe is checking the codes for the length of yellow lines.
4. Investigate the possibility of marking parking zones on lst Avenue.
5. Change the word "cumulative" to read "reasonable." Joe will handle
this problem.
b. Include the north side of 1st Street west between 2nd and 3rd Ave.
(next to Williams Agency) in the 2-hr. district.
7. Change to 3 hrs. everything east of Colorado Avenue. This will
include Pennsylvania Avenue.
8. Parking permits be issued by the Chief of Police and approved
at the Police Committee.
9. That a clerk for the court be hired to help in the collection of
all delinquent tickets.
10. It was highly recommended that a 12-month moratorium be placed
on the remaining 2-hr. and 3-hr. districts.
