A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was
the committee:

Some talk of the proposed parking lot at Fireman's Park.
Received a letter from the Chamber withdrawing their request.
Jim received some quotes on the approximate cost to remodel the
Ramsey building for a City Hall. He had talked to some different
architects on costs per square foot. The main office area
approximately $337,000 to $405,000; the center section approximately
$60,000 to use for equipment storage. The rear section for the
mechanic shop, parks department shop and workers lunch room
approximately $30,000. The total approximate estimate between
$447,500 and $495,000. The asking price of the building $450,000.
This committee recommends to the Council if this is pursued any
farther that the Mayor appoint a special committee to work on
just the possibilities of the building, more positive costs and
avenues for financing the venture.
Lck?.c` 1 The committee recommends denial to BN' s request for a . loading
zone on East Main Street.
Committee recommends to talk with the Highway Department to
change Main Street back to 2 lanes with a turning lane. Also
to look at diagonal parking on one side of East Main.
Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
