A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
The meeting was all about the usage of the City parking lot
across from City Hall.
After much discussion the committee recommends that we look
at two alternatives concerning one-third of the lot, mainly
the row of spaces on the north side of the lot.
This committee is recommending to the Council to consider
either putting in parking meters or leasing out the spaces.
We suggest if meters are used they be paid for parking 10
hours a day. If the spaces are leased that they be 24 hours
a day. We recommend if they are leased that a contract be
for one year to be paid either yearly, bi-yearly or quarterly.
We will want Council direction at the time of this reading.
Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
