MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Marshall, chairman Jim Flisrand Mike Atkinson Darrell McGillen OTHERS PRESENT: Andy Loebe Committee first discussed the interior concerns of the city court room area. The City Judge would like to see the archways closed off and new doors installed next to the south walls. There would be no seating against the back wall to allow for a walkway through the area. Projected cost would be between 5 and 6 thousand dollars. Also discussed was the building of walls in the clerks office and in the east wing for security purposes. Jim received a bid from Kenco Security Services. For basic protection the cost would be about $2,700. For an additional $2195 a fire alarm system could be incorporated. Prior to the meeting the committee walked around City Hall. It was noted that the exterior walls need painting, windows and doorways need to be scraped, sanded and painted. Jim indicated that he will check with local contractors as to costs involved. It was the consensus of the group that the exterior should be taken care of before any money is expended on inside remodeling. Discussion was held concerning the erection of a "pole- barn" type structure at the City Shop for cold or dead storage of excess fire equipment and various pieces of city equipment. Committee felt that possibly a joint venture between the fire department and the city shop in their budgets could accomplish this goal. Meeting adjourned at 5:30 P.M.
