OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS
SEPTEMBER56, 1996

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Ron Marshall, chairman Darrell McGillen
Larry McCann Norman Orr
Jim Flisrand Bud Johnson
Mike Zuhoski Chuck Rodgers
Jim Flisrand explained to the committee that Dean Rankin
of Coast to Coast will sub-leasing his property on MRL property.
This process will consist of dividing this area into three
separate businesses. In the area between the east building
and middle building there will be an area for off-street parking.
Discussion whether this area had to be paved. Motion by Norm
Orr, seconded by Bud Johnson that this area will have to be
paved. Motion carried.
Discussion held concerning the building of the pole-barn
structure in the city shop compound. Discussion as to size
and placement. . It was the consensus of the committee to have
Jim and Darrell look at the area to determine placement.
Discussion concerning increasing the proposed size from 40'
x 120' to 40'x 160'. Darrell indicated that he will look into
his budget and see if the can come up with another $4,000 for
and additional 20' for Fire Department equipment storage.
Discussion concerning Marshall Apartments. The downstairs
business will have to have separate restroom facilities.
Discussion concerning City Hall building. Chuck Rodgers
indicated that with limited budgeting, monies will have to be
expended to fixing the furnace and then the windows.
Discussion concerning the Martin properties. Motion by
Bud Johnson, seconded by Darrell McGillen, that the City pursue
abatement proceedings against all of Jim Martin's properties
in addition to the one ongoing against the Merchant Apartments.
Motion carried.
