LANDS PARKING & PUBLIC BUILDINGS
FEBRUARY 27, 1997 7:00 P.M.
CITY HALL
PRESENT: Chuck Rodgers Darrell McGillen
Rick Musson Jim Flisrand
Norman Orr Bud Johnson
Discussion regarding the advertisement of City property located in
Cherry Hill Subdivision, 2nd Filing. The City of Laurel owns 15
undeveloped residential lots that have been advertised a few years
ago, however no bids were received.
There has been some interest from developers to purchase lots in
the area and it would be beneficial to advertise these lots at this
time.
Motion by Darrell McGillen, seconded by Bud Johnson, that we
advertise for sale as soon as is feasible. Motion carried.
Discussion on security issues throughout the building and other
possible remodeling. Motion by Darrell McGillen, seconded by
Norman Orr, that the City proceed with the designed improvements in
the Public Works and City Clerks offices first and schedule as
money allows additional improvements concerning the council
chambers. Acoustical concerns need to be reviewed in the council
chambers prior to any construction. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
