A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Discussion of public hearing helf July 6th, 1982, Council
meeting. Protestors were: Lucinda's, Chuck's Repair, Bob
Lowell, Paul Gjefle Marshall Apts., Roy Williams, A&A Builders,
Charles Olsen, Greg Vanberg, Glen Saunders, Mike Sankovich,
Dick DeGroot, Bill.Lohof.

Charles Olson reported the abandoned car was moved the day of
the garbage protest meeting. His present rate is $180/yr, the
new rate will be $336/yr. 4 kitchenettes, manager lives in one.
Motion from Vern Halvorson, seconded'by Larry Peterson,to approve
for Cottage Print Shoppe.
Motion from Larry-Peterson, seconded by Vern Halvorson, to approve
252 for DeFrance Motel.

Motion from Curt Riemann to reconsider motion of May 10th, seconded
by Vern Halvorson. Carried.
Motion from Curt Riemann, seconded by Vern Halvorson, to keep the
City in the garbage business. Carried.
Motion b Curt Riemann to have the City let bids on compactor,
seconded by Vern Halvorson. Passed.
Larry to make arrangements for trip to Livingston before
August 15th.
After reviewing the public hearing, the Garbage Committee recom-
mends the following rate changes:
DeFrance Motel - $252
Cottage Print Shoppe - $84
ABC TV L $252
Convoy Co. - $504
Other items of interest:
1) Not to allow any more 90-gallon containers.
2) Make a trip to Livingston before August 15th.
3) Draw up specifications for compactor at the landfill.
Discussion of dump being open and unattended. Possibility of
Lud working some on Saturday to assist at landfill.
