GARBAGE COMMITTEE

A. Members present: Chairman Marvin Carter

B. Other's present- Bill Feller , Jim Redman
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
-NEW PACKER: Arms need adjustment. A plate is needed to prevent
ram area from filling with debris. When drivers are accustomed
to the new operation of this packer, they will improve their
pickup time.
WILLOW CREEK SUBD. ALLEY EASEMENT: Committee recommends
the alley be developed if easement can be obtained.
GARBAGE CONTAINER "WIND RINGS": Committee approved purchase
of 50 rings at 7 -as a trial method to see if they would
prevent the problems from wind tipping the cans. Village
Subd. would be the first $area to receive-these devices.
90 GALLON CONTAINERS: All small cans have been replaced
except Murray Heights and W. 12th.
METAL CONTAINERS: Committee recommends ordering 3-yard metal
containers for the business district.
NEW PIT AT LANDFILL: Motion from Vern Halvorson, seconded by
Larry Peterson, to rent 27 hrs. of equipment from Bob Daggett
to dig new pit not to exceed $4,800.00: Motion carried.
CUL DE SACS: Committee recommends further study and place-
ment of containers when approving cut de sacs.
SOLID WASTE RECOVERYs Larry Peterson reported on the meeting
at Billings, and at the time the market for solid waste is not
available.
Discussion of seeding at the landfill. When landfill is
ready, bids will be taken for seeding the grass.
Meeting adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
