GARBAGE COMMITTEE
DATE May 10, 1983 TIME 4:35 p.m.

A. Members present: Chairman Marvin Carter
Ed Steffans , Jim Redman , Curt Reimann, Vern Halvorson
Larry Peterson, Lonnie Kellogg, Rob Harris (after Utilities meeting)

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
After lengthy discussion, the following recommendations were
taken by the committee:
Wind Rings Larry is to check with the Budget Committee and
order immediately when they give the green light..
Metal Containers- We will order some 3-yd. metal containers
after July 1 on a trial basis.
Dumping in Residential Area Beginning May 11, we will dump
residential containerstwice a week.
Truck Washing Wednesday afternoon is set aside as catchup -
grease, wash, fix flats,.minor repair, etc.
Flat Tires Chainge all flats and return the equipment to the
barn.
Bo_ mag Jim reported soft plug has a minor leak, the A/C
belt needs repairs, the skid plate on the bottom needs
straightening.
Bomag Storage Check into some different storage areas as we
need to store Bomag out of the weather (perhaps an earth home).
Landfill Reclamation Seed and fertilizer has been purchased.
Larry is firming up the price for drilling seed and hopes to
have it done by June i.- This project falls under our 11601"
monies.
Hard Hats All employees working in or around the Garbage Dept.
are to wear hard hats. This includes Bomag, Cat, Truck driving,
./Loader, etc. (this item needs Council confirmation). Also,
when supervisors leave City Hall, they should wear their hard hats.
" \New Hours Larry is to check contract and give 48-hour notice
o employees for Saturday hoursto be from 8:00--4:90.
