GARBAGE COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
These items were discussed and recommend the following actions:
1. Seeding will be completed soon at the landfill.
2. Signs designating dumping areas are working fine.
3. Bomag is working and doing a fine job. We are still having
a problem with the soft plug. Western Equipment is working
to correct this situation.
4. New landfill hours are to be from 8:00 to 3:30 for general
public use. This coincides with the Union contract.
5. Refused 10 hr. workday proposal.
6. Directed Larry Peterson to write a letter to the crew
about recycling material at the landfill beyond their
normal break time. (complaint was aired by citizen of
the City.)
7. Metal containers bids will be sent out after July lst
(3 cu. yd. 12 ga. steel metal containers).
8. Larry Peterson reported delivery of 89 containers with
lids for $89/ea.
9. Lid damage is due to driver not being cautious to approach
can properly. Larry will talk to drivers.
10. The EmCo will stay in service until after the new metal
containers arrive.
11. 20 windrings have been delivered. 12 will go to Village
Subdivision. 12 on backorder.
12. A garbage fee for Frosty Ice Cream to be established as a
Class 4 for $28/mo.
A garbage fee for Happy Gardens to be established as a
Class 5 for $35/mo.
