A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
The following-items were discussed and recommendations made concerning
these items:
1. 90-gallon containers: The committee will invite these people to the
November meeting to list several alternatives and hear their comments.
2. Herbstfest: One maxi was used for a minimum call out of 2 hrs. to drive
the truck. They used a minimum of eight cans 0 6.00 each (the same fee
for the circus) so we will bill the Herbstfet $135.00 for garbage fee.
3. Coast to Coast: We will continue surveying their containers and review
rate increase at our November meeting.
4- Asphalt Supply: They are on minimum garbage fee until April, then we
will adjust fee.
5. Metal Containers: They are at Johnson Distributing and we are waiting for
longer attachments before putting these in service.
6. Landfill: We are in the last pit at our present site. This should last two
years. The Bomag and Cat are in fine working order.
7. Building: We are checking with the County Commissioner's about our share
of County refuse money, also, what strings are attached.
8. Trucks: We have purchased eight mud and snow tires for the winter. Next
spring we will consider recapping. Some new mirrors were purchased for
one truck.
9. The committee is very concerned about building pride with our employees
concerning City equipment, receiving periodic inspections of vehicles to
see that the driver is washing, greasing and generally maintaining his truck.
10. Winter Maintenance: We will wash containers during the winter months.
