OTHER'S PRESENT:
A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Discussion was held concerning what to do after January 1st
when Dennis Johnson's contract is completed.
Marvin Carter made a motion, seconded by Ed Steffan that the
City of Laurel take over the Landfill operation. This will be
a short term operation of 6 months until a permanent solution
can be found.
A dump pit will have to be dug immediately to meet dump
requirements. It is recommended that the City Council decide
who, what, where and how this pit shall be dug.
Further discussion was held on the future of Laurel's landfill.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 P.M,
