A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Jim Flisrand reported that the City has taken complete control
of the dumping site. Everything is running smoothly. The
site will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday until spring when hours will be extended to Saturdays.
The Bo-Mag, used at the dump site, has broken down and needs
repairs of approximately $ 3,000.00.
Continued research is being done on what to do with City garbage.
We have approximately 2 years to make a final decision, however
the Committee and Council need to set goals and direction as
soon as possible for the City of Laurel.
Downtown garbage collection is continuing with few problems
and complaints.
Discussion was held on small collection containers in the
downtown area.
An explanation was given by Jim to Keith Thompson on the
classification of dump sites.
