A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
Discussion on closure of the Landfill:
1) Who is going to do it?
2) When is it going to be done?
3) How is it going to be financed?
4) Design of transfer site?
GEO Reasearch needs to report to the State by Sept. 9, 1992,
on the work plan to do a hydrogeologic and soil study of the
Landfill.
Discussion on Transfer Site design.
Barry Damschen of Damschen & Associates of Helena discussed
options for the Transfer Site.
1) Dump into 40 yard containers;
2) Compacting trailers;
3) Large open trailers - 110 yards;
4) Stationary compactors.
Barry recommends the large 110 yard trailer type containers
for the City.
Discussion on Class 3 Landfills.
