GARBAGE SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING
FEBRUARY 22, 1994 7:00 P.M.

Jim Flisrand called Pat Potts from the State of Montana Solid and
Hazardous Waste Bureau and discussed the nitrogen problem in well
#2. They discussed how little to no garbage has been placed up
gradient from well #2 on License #203 and the source of the problem
is possibly coming from Landfill Site #24.
After a discussion with Jim Shaffer from GEO Research it was
recommended that the City have an additional well on the north edge
of the landfill site #203 up gradient from well #2 to determine if
the problem is coming from landfill site #24. The approximate
cost of an additional well would be around $2,000.00 each.
Motion by Gay Easton, seconded by Ron Marshall, to approve the
plan of the additional well. Motion carried.
