James Shaffer of GEO Research explained to the committee about the
nitrates problem with well #NW-2 at the Landfill. James explained
the old and new regulations regarding Landfill closures and how
they apply to the City in the past, the present and future, and the
related cost. The State is still determining what course of action
they may require.
Motion by Marvin Carter, seconded by Albert Ehrlick, to allow
GEO Research to proceed with task #7 and 8-A at this time. Motion
carried 8--l.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
