A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
The purpose of this meeting was to renew the contract for District
V.
District #7 is the largest of our 3 fire districts. We discussed
new growth in the district. We informed the district that we
answered 39 calls for the year. When these districts were first
formed we maintained a 12 mill levy. Last year District 7 had a
9.95 mill levy. This year we settled.for $2,000 increase which
will compute 11.3 mill levy on last year's taxable evaluation.
Dick Nauman informed the group we should.attempt to change the
law for fire districts as they must have an audit when we reach
$20,000 for the district. This audit is quite expensive for the
district and it is money we-could use for fire protection.
