COMMITTEE

Rob Harris , D. L. McGillen , Vern Ha,L-Orson

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
1. We discussed and reviewed the refusal of the CDBG application.
2. We feel that a committee should be appointed for CDBG programs.
3.- We need a resolution regarding hazardous materials, etc., that makes
the carrier and their insurance company responsible for any problems.
The fee would be assessed by the Fire Committee.
4. The committee would like to meet with the fire districts at our
February meeting.
5. The Fire Department has responded to 116 calls at this point in
time compared to 112 last year.
6. Rob Harris reported talking to Marv Nyberg from Burlington Northern
regarding the rail crossings on the south side. Mr. Nyberg informed
Rob that he would stop the trains at S. 4th Street and west of 5th
Avenue crossing to keep access to the south part of town.
