FIRE COMMITTEE
MEMBERS PRESENT:

1. Times to negotiate with Fire Districts 5, 7, and 8.
Contract due June 30, 1988.
2. Have County Finance Director at a meeting to discuss
the re-evaluation and what to expect from the districts.
C.I.-105 will definitely play a part with this year's tax
structure.
D.L. McGillen gave an update on the Fire Districts.
Ervin Wood asked about expansion of the districts. Will the
County and State put demands on use for that expansion?
Dave Powers explained the I.S.O. Rating. We are presently rated
as a $ in the residential area and a $'for the business area.
The districts are rated 8 for residential and 9 for commercial.
Joe Bradley is checking with the Attorney General as to the correct
wording for Mutual Aid Agreements. The present agreements are
out dated and we need these updated because of liability and
workmen's compensation.
The subscribers of O'Donnell Fire Service are concerned about
fire protection. D.L. discussed the difference between a Fire
District and Fire Service Area.
D. L. is going to a meeting on January 25th at the Yellowstone
Boys and Girls Ranch to discuss with the County Fire Departments,
along with Jim Kraft, the possibility of forming fire protection
to all former subscribers of O'Donnell Fire Service and Yellow-
stone County.
Darrell Lee is working with MRL on a contract.
The next meeting will be held on February 1st at the Fire Hall
at 7:00 p.m.
