This was a meeting with Fire District # 7.
There was discussion on the contract for the 1989-1990 year.
The taxable value dropped from $ 7,077,878.00 to $ 4,847,711.00
due to House Bill 4434 and railroad property. The contract price
for 1988-1989 was $ 87,500.00 with the contract for 1989--1990
being $ 54,780.00.
The Trustees were told that the multiple factor of 11.3
mills will probably be increasing next year.
The Trustees asked about the Fire Department's budget and
Chief McGillen stated the budget is an over all expenditure
budget and that Equipment and Housing are used and shared by
all. All revenue except fire service revenue goes into the
General Fund which the Fire Department draws from to cover
their budget.
The Trustees will contact the district members for a
meeting on April 13th on contract approval.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
