A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Ken Olson, Chairman of the Fire Truck Committee presented
pre-plan specs. for a new Class A Pumper.
The Truck Committee asked for these specs. to be retyped and
sent out to manufacturers for their evaluation and comments.
After their review and input of specs. the Committee will then draft
their final specs. for bids.
Typing of the specs. should be done on a computer by the
City Secretary or hire to have it done. Typing it on the computer
would allow for easy changes on this 100-plus page spec. form.
It was also brought to our attention that the Fire Department
should have their own computer, for records and reports. The
State now requires the Fire Department to make weekly fire reports.
The Fire Committee gave approval to the Truck Committee to
act as soon as possible.
The Committee agreed to change the meeting night to the 2nd
Tuesday of the month. The next meeting would be October 10th,
if needed. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
