FIRE COMMITTEE

OTHER'S PRESENT:
A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Discussion was held on unpaid bills. Chief McGillen informed
the Committee that a problem has arisen on collecting fees for
services rendered from the Fire Department on vehicle accidents.
People are receiving two bills, one from the Ambulance and one
from the Fire Department. People are paying the Ambulance bill
and ignorning the Fire Department bill, including insurance
companies.
These bills are being sent to those who are not taxpayers of
the City of Laurel, Fire Districts, and LUFSA.
Further discussion was held and it was agreed that we 1) turn
these bills over to the City Attorney and; 2) Incorporate the
Fire Department billing on the Ambulance bill as a new line item.
This idea will be taken to the Ambulance Committee for review.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
