A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
A review of city license applications and recommendations are as follows:
1. Mike's Upholstery - 908 West Main - approved pending fire inspection
2. Video Sound Connection - 908 West Main - approved pending fire inspection
3. Marjories NeedleArts & Upholstery - 107 West 1st Street - approved
pending fire inspection
4. RayJo's New and Used - 1102 East Main - approved pending fire inspection
5. Shultz & Wise Construction - Billings, Montana - approved
6. R.A. Kansala, CDP - 602 West 13th Street - referred to City County Planning
The committee discussed possibility of requiring applicants of building permits
to also make application for City License at the same time; it was decided to ask
council input on this matter.
Meyers stated that when a business changes ownership, such as apartment houses,
etc., a fire inspection should be required at that time. McGillen stated his fire
marshall, at this time, already has four inspections to make and they are only
volunteers. It was suggested that the council should think about hiring a part
time building inspector that could also do fire inspections.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting adjourned at 5:50•
