A quorum 0 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee:
The two committees met to establish a fee to charge for the legalized poker
machines which will be installed on July 1, 1985. After much discussion it was
recommended that the City of Laurel would charge only $50.00 per establishment
for poker machines as we will receive $1000.00 from the State per machine in-
stalled. We will look at the fee after a year and see if we think it needs to
be raised. Every establishment that serves alcoholic beverages may have up to
five machines and they will be under the jurisdiction of the State.
The license committee reviewed the following license applications:
I. J. F. Wrecking - cutting up railroad cars in the Boise-Cascade lot. Jim
Missoula Flisrand wrote them a letter.stating our requirements as
to their working conditions and after their reply by letter
the committee felt we can ii?gue them a license.
2. Wizards on Wheels - Auto glass replacement service. The committee recommended
1019 13th Avenue denial as City County Planning Board also denied this.
3. Grady Heating & Air - Committee recommends approval as the owner of business
2206 Atchison will go out to homes and do the work. City County
Planning Board recommended approval.
4. Imre Mezzaros - Mail order of Gourme Rec#es and Photographic service, committee
912 1st Avenue recommended approval as he will just-use a post office box for
correspondence; City County Planning also recommended approval.
5. John Floyd - Stripping and refinishing furniture, City Treasurer issued license
406 Date as his business address is zoned commercial and he claimed he picks
°c•+'? up and delivers furniture, therefore no walk in trade.
