A cquortm 0 or sore) present the following action was taken by the committee:
The committee met to'review the following applications for a
business license:
1. Russell Nauman - Installation of glass in automobiles, committee
609 Birch Ave gave their consent as long as he does business
by mobil and no customers to his home.
2. Laurel Next to New
Pawn Shop This is an existing business and they want to add
2l West Main Pawn Shop to their business. The city node book
Chapter 5.20 asks for a $100.00 license fee and
also thete-'s a section on keeping a register:
5.20.040-"Register-examination by police."
Every person who shall engage in the business of a
pawnbroker in the municipality shall keep a book in
which shall be entered, in legible writing, a.des-
scription of every-article taken as a pledge, pawn or
security for money paid, advanced or loaned thereon,
together with the names and residences of the persons
from whom such property was purchased or taken. The
register and the property so taken shall at all times
be subject to examination by any policeman, or any 4
person accompanied by a policeman.
The committee gave consent as long as they comply.
The committee also discussed the possibility of doing away with
licensing home occupations in the future and would like input from the
council on this. The treasurer was asked to check with the County Health
Department about food being sold at the "Kinder Kloset".
