A quorum 13 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee:
1. Committee received two letters complaining about lawn & tree spraying.
After discussion it was decided to send a letter to the Person.
2. Committee received a complaint of a business going on at 410 1st Avenue.
After discussion it was decided to send a letter to complaintant.
3. The following license applications were discussed:
a. AMESTOY'S SHARPENING SERVICE
Gene Amestoy - City County granted approval, License committee re-
1127 8th Avenue commends approval.
b. HANDYMAN SERVICES - City'County granted approval, License committee
412 2nd Avenue recommends approval.
,?pQ c. LITTLE SCOTTIE MOBILE HOME COURT - City County granted approval, License
^? _f'° Mogan Subdivision committee recommends approval.
d. BOB'S WELDING - City County granted approval, License committee
1011 East 9th St. recommends approval.
S ?e. CABOOSE SALOON - After much discussion the committee will have
704 West Main Peg, Alan and Joe Bradley look in to legalities of
operations as far as the liquor license and also
the gambling license. We hope'to have a special
committee meeting in regards to this before the
next council meeting.
4. Chuck brought up the fact again about building permits being issued to
commercial contractors such as for signs, etc. without finding out if
they have a City License to do work in Laurel. It was even suggested
that there be a check list to refer to before a permit is issued. The
committee will discuss this further.
