A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committees
1• Committee reviewed the=.followinj license requests:
a. Sparkle Wash of Billin s: 1006 Penn Circle Laurel
Alan moved for approval-and seconde-d by Curt, passed
by a 6-0 vote.
b. Vends, Inc: 2943 Cook Avenue Billings
Committee could not find an Ordinance to cover candy
vending machines. Will ask Joe Bradley about this.
C. Cliff's Deli: 101- East Main Laurel
Alan moved for approval, seconded by Peg to grant license
after Cliff received his State license - n- fire in-
spectionErequired as this is only a change of ownership.
2. Discussed leaving the premise license for live-poker playing at
$500.00 and each poker table at $200.00. Alan moved this and
Earl seconded for a 5-0 vote-with Darrell abstaining. Motion passed.
3. Discussion on changing the fees we charge for Poker and Keno and
Bingo machines. After input from the audience and much more dis-
cussion about the City receiving ten (10) percent of net from each
machine, Curt moved and Peg seconded that the fee be $10.00 per
machine, the vote being 5-1 with Earl voting no. Peg.will ask
Joe Bradley to change these ordinances 4804; 5/85 and #726;2/83
for the June 2, 1987 meeting.
4. Discussion on amusement machines (pool table, juke boxes, trivia)
and committee decided to charge each business that has these a
total of $50.00 per business no matter how many machines they have.
Remember these are non-gambling tables and machines. Joe Bradley
will change Ordinance 44748 for the June 2, 1987 meeting.
5. Discussion regarding Bingo parlor Ordinance,to now also include
Live Keno parlor with the fee being the same for each of $500.00.
6. Visited with Joe Bradley on 5/22/•87 and he informed me that the
above license for VENDS, INC., falls under the General Business
License category so I sent them a letter.
