CITY LICENSE COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
bY the Committee:
Discussion on a scheduled monthly meeting with a set
time for the license committee. It was decided that the 4th
Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. would be the best.
Discussion was made on a 30 day waiting period for new
• licenses applying in the city. It was decided that it would
be approximately 30 days between the license committee meeting,
the city/county planning board meeting and the next council
meeting. No set 30 day waiting period would be needed.
Discussion on unsightly property in the commercial zone.
Did we have an ordinance to require commercial property to
clean up premises, such as a residential nuisance ordinance.
Joe Bradley will look into this and report later.
A motion by Bob Graham was made to have the city attorney
draw up an ordinance requiring commercial property to meet
safety and fire.codes. Passed unanimously.
Motion by Bob Graham that Hansen Health Center and lrst
Physical Therapy be required to have a 1991-1992 City Business
License. Passed unanimously.(Later learned Hansen's has a license)
Discussion whether babysitters in the City of Laurel are
required to have a business license. It was decided that any
person advertising services for payment should be required. A
public hearing at a later date will be planned.
