LICENSE COMMITTEE
MAY 18, 1992

A QUORUM (3 or More) PRESENT, THE FOLLOWING ACTION WAS TAKEN BY
THE COMMITTEE:
Songers Interstate Exxon-305 South 1st--Owners are Paul and
Donna Sanger. Donna stated that they have purchased the
business and would like to be in operation by June 1st.
6-2-9v Rob will do a fire inspection. Underground storage tanks will
also be inspected. Motion made and passed that the committee
recommends this license be granted.
Richard Barnhardes complaint that he felt the City was
discriminating against him by having him obtain a Secondhand
Store License was discussed. The committee does not feel that
he was singled out as he claims. We have an ordinance in the
Code Book that explains Secondhand Store licenses. The
committee recommends that the Council repeal the Chapters
separating Secondhand Stores and Junk Dealers and have them
put into the Chapter of General Business Licenses. The fee
of $17.50 should be refunded for this year.
