Inattendance were: Executive Board Members: VioePresident- Chase Anderson, Treasurer- Evan Bruce and Executive Secretary- Camilla Nelson. Directors: Katie VVhitnnyar,Patsy Woody, Lori Hodges, Beth Hoferer,Megan Cutting, Brent Renker,Carrie Smith and Billie Lehman. Member- Jim Taylor, Laurel Museum Inc and Laurel Community Foundation Chase called the meeting toorder. The minutes were reviewed: Evan motioned that the minutes be approved, Billie 2r1d,rninutesvveneappnzvad Guest Speaker — Laurel Museum Inc is wanting to dissolve the Inc and gift the building to Laurel Community Foundation. We are listed on the current deed to have access to that building if we ever needed to. The Museum is asking that wewaive and cancel that sothat. Itwas decided we needed to look over our lease for the Log Cabin with the City before making any decisions. Carni will enla|| the members a copy sothey can review it. Old BUSINESS • Audit- Brent reported on the Audit and said everything looked good. Membership is hard to track and itwas suggested tuuse aspreadsheet totrack when members pay and how much. ° Job Fair- April m | 1� from 4-7pnn had around 5 people show up. It was suggested to get with Job Services for suggestions ortoadvertise our next one for us. ° Chamber Logo- Logo is tied with Board member votes. We are going to send out an email to all members asking for their input and also post aFacebookpoll. NEW BUSINESS • New Members — Elite Salon, 406 Kids Drop -In Childcare * July 4 th — 20 food vendors (we are full), 18 craft vendor, 14 runners, and 2 parade signed up!! o Candy- After reviewing the insurance policy and discussing finding groups to help police the parade we took a vote on having candy at the parade. Beth motioned that we allow the handing out of candy to children standing behind the white line, Billie 2 nd - approved. Canniwill update the forms and the rules. o Entertain mment/S8age-Waiting tohear back from the City onour request o WaUkie Talkies- Canmiorder aset of3from Amazon for $O7.q9 • Tourism Grant- Evan reported he didn't get letters back in time so we will wait and do this next year * Brochures- Last brochures were done in 2016; need to get some updated ones made. " Spring MACE Conference- Cami would like to attend June 3-4 $80, it was suggested to ask if Amanda would like to go with. Evan motioned to send Cami and possibly Amanda to this, Billie � 2 'approved. • Farmer's Market- Canniasked thoughts onhaving aFarmer's Market 1Saturday amonth. Locations were suggest; IGA, Helena Chemical, and Town & Country.
