LICENSE COMMITTEE
JUNE 20, 1994 5:00 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Vicki Metzger
Gay Easton
Bob Graham
Ron Marshall
Chuck Rodgers
OTHERS PRESENT:
Dave Slaymaker
Joel Anderson applied for a license for a small craft shop at 420
W. Main.
Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Gay Easton, to grant the
license subject to the fire inspection passing. Motion carried.
The committee reviewed the license for Fox Lumber. They have never
passed a fire inspection and have yet to put in the required
sprinkler system.
The committee recommended that the license not be granted until the
fire inspection passes with a grace period of 90 days.
The Kinder Closet applied only for a license for their bus depot.
They have many other businesses.
The committee recommended that they hold the license for the bus
depot until all issues are cleared up. This will be discussed in
full at the council meeting.
The Foul Line is out of business and the committee recommended that
their license be dropped.
The remainder of the licenses being reviewed seemed to be OK.
Discussion was held on the possibility of increasing the fee for
fire inspections.
